The Chef - to cook it!

Head Chef and true Guernseyman Ian Carre has had many years fronting the Kitchen team at Le Friquet Hotel. During this time he has provided quality Hog Roasts and Bar B Q's at Venues all across the Island including Castle Cornet, Sausmarez Manor and Vale Castle along with more private affairs in the gardens of local homes. He now provides the same high level of expertise exclusively in the grounds of Le Friquet Hotel.

The Venue - to hold it!

Our rural setting, beautiful grounds complete with small stream, picnic benches and an outdoor heated pool, (not forgetting safe parking), all stand beneath the traditional Granite façade of Le Friquet Hotel. There is ample space on our lawns, amongst the flower beds for your Guests to enjoy themselves.

We provide polite, trained and experienced staff to serve your Hog Roasts/BBQ, taken from the Gold Award Winning Hotel Restaurant Team.


The Hog Roast Package - £2000

[serves up to 80 people]

A Whole Pig, roasted outdoors for a minimum of five hours, and basted every hour with our Chefs "secret" ingredient, guaranteed to produce perfect tender Pork and crispy Crackling every time!

To accompany this we provide:

•  Fresh locally baked bread Baps
•  Jacket Potatoes baked on site
•  An assortment of Salads and Sauces

Salads:

•  Cherry Tomato Salad
•  Cous cous and Black Bean Salad
•  Potato Salad
•  Cucumber & Dill Salad
•  Rocket & Goat Cheese Salad
•  Beetroot & Sour Cream Salad
•  Black Olives marinated in Herbs & Sweet Pimento Olive Oil


The Barbecue Package - £1500

[serves up to 40 people]

Choose any four items from the list below and we will provide a Chef and all equipment including cutlery and crockery.

•  Quarter Pounder Beef Burger in a Bap
•  King Prawns in Garlic and Parsley Butter
•  Locally made Cumberland Sausage
•  Sirloin Steak from Scottish Beef
•  Marinated Lamb Kebabs with BBQ Sauce
•  Pork Ribs with Tomato, Honey and Balsamic Glaze
•  Quartered Spring Chicken with a spicy Tandoori Marinade
•  Plain Whole Guernsey Mackerel with Lemon
•  Marinated Vegetable Skewers with Olive Oil and Thyme
